Confusion species Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care should be given when separating these species. It is often impossible to separate the adults of some species. |

(Bivoltine)  Habitat Wherever the foodplant is found. Foodplant Hazel. Lifestage data Leaf miner. Eggs laid on upperside of leaf. Larva forms a circular whitish blotch, often several mines found in one leaf. Pupates in a silk lined chamber at one end of the mine. |
